1981 Yamaha sr500 | Unkown miles (not original odometer) | VIN 4R8000459 | $4500 tax, doc & licensing
Stripped down and ready to rip. Original tach and speedo? Gone. Who cares about miles when you’re dealing with a well cared for, tastefully built street tracker. Lights? Just the bare minimum. No turn signals. You’re gone before you even arrive, so who really needs to know your intent. And while we’re at it - just ditch the battery. Who needs it. You’re not electric-starting this sucker anyway. You’re kickin it old school style. *And definitely with style. Because of the care put into this bike, it starts first kick. So a lot has been removed (junk we don’t need or want!). This begs the question, what has been added? For starters, a steering stabilizer. With the torque this thing stirs up, something has to help you reign in that front end. And some sticky Dunlop K180 FlatTrack tires to put the power down. A bespoke front fender and some nice Hagon shocks. The head bearings have been upgraded to tapered roller bearings.
Who is this beast for? Well, if you want a badass city ripper that is void of absolutely every fussy electronic that modern bikes are plagued with, want to cruise in style, like to lift the front end, and desire a bike you could fix on the side of the road, this is for you.
