2004 ducati 999 | 8650 miles | VIN ZDM1UB5T74B008473 | $9999 plus tax, doc & licensing

I’m not a fan of “IYKYK”- I’m more “If you don’t know, now you know”

And if you don’t know, Pierre Terblanche is one of the great motorcycle designers of our time. Responsible for the designs of iconic Ducatis from the 888 to the air-cooled Hypermotard and Multistrada, as well as the phenomenal 999 and many more. Today we focus on the design of this gorgeous low-mileage 999. This marked a departure from tradition. The 999 was captivating with its stacked headlamps, and a functional and modular design approach. The 999 had a modularity to make it suitable for a variety of riders, whereas the previous Tamburini designs were a bit more “locked in.” The form followed function with a Bauhaus design approach. A clean, flat set of fairings were fitted with dzus fasteners for quick and easy removal. A proper superbike that could be purchased for the road. Terblanche drew inspiration from architecture and industrial design, as well as streamlined locomotives, which you can see inspired much of the front end. Polarizing? Maybe, but also incredibly cool.

This gorgeous yellow Ducati 999 captures all of the attention in the room, and rightfully so. With a bold color to match the distinctive design, this is one bike that can be appreciated both by enthusiasts as well as the uninitiated. From the unique headlights to the thoughtfully designed and sharply integrated mirror/turn indicators, all the way through the full fairing that stops short exposing the dry clutch basket and silver steel tubular trellis frame, only to reappear momentarily at the rear with the yellow monoposto tail stopping just short of the Termignoni exhaust. The 999 not only looks the part but has a proper racing pedigree with WSBK wins in 2003, 2004, and 2006.

This bike feels serious even when it's lifted off the sidestand to be wheeled through the showroom. The geometry is sharp, and the ergonomics race-ready..

This bike is in absolutely fantastic condition and is road-ready. There are a couple minor paint chips- I challenge you to find them! Some minor tasteful upgrades include a slick Speedymoto exposed clutch cover, silicone coolant hoses, and carbon fiber goodness at the rear hugger and the Termignogni exhaust.

Ready to rip with fresh oil, a full clutch & brake bleed, and new belts (yes, a proper Duc with belts!) thanks to Redmond Motorsports, as well as a brand new set of Dunlop Q5S wrapped around the Marchesini 17” wheels. Hold on tight because the brakes will throw you over with their immense stopping power, delivered through 3 massive disc brakes and Brembo calipers. Something needs to be able to slow down the 998cc Testastretta L-twin. With a top speed well over 160mph, a 0-60 that rivals today's supercars, it’s difficult to find this much power, design, and elegance at such a price point.

Come by and check it out for yourself!
